Slots is a game of chance. As such, there is no real strategy available that will reduce the house edge. However, there are steps to follow that may help you to play longer and reduce your losses.
First, we recommend playing slot machines that are closest to the casino's entrance (if playing in land-based casinos). It is rumoured that the machines with the highest payout percentage are located here to attract customers. Also, watch machines that players are currently using. If they do not hit a large payout, or a few medium payouts and leave the machine, play that machine.
Second, always bet the max bet, especially when playing progressive slot machines. This will maximize your payout should you hit a jackpot.
Finally, limit your play. Before playing, decide the maximum amount you are willing to bet in total, and do not exceed that amount under any circumstances. Also, take any winnings that you receive and separate that from your initial bankroll. Do not bet with your winnings under any circumstances. This will both minimize your loses and maximize your winnings.
